This recipe gives a different taste and texture. It goes well with rice, naan and chapathi, etc.,
We can add any other masala powder to the sauce for a variation.
If you don’t want very spicy, reduce the chilli powder.
Ingredients:
200g paneer
30g butter
1 onion chopped
2 garlic cloves minced
Spring onions chopped
Salt
For the sauce:
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp chilli powder
1/2 tsp cumin powder
2 tbsp curd
Salt
Direction:
For making the sauce:
Combine all the ingredients under sauce in a bowl and add little water to it, keep it aside.
Slice the paneer as you desire, not too thin or small.
Heat the butter in a pan and place all the paneer slices into it. Roast for nearly a min on one side and turn to the other side for 20 sec.
Remove from the pan keep it aside.
In the same pan add garlic, onion and spring onion , sate until the onion becomes caramelised.
Add the prepared sauce and boil for 2 mins until the raw smell goes off.
Then add the fried paneer into the pan and and let it be in low heat for a min.
Transfer to a serving bowl and garnish with spring onions.
Serve hot with rice, dosa, naan and chapathi.
