Recipes :

Leftover Dal Dosa
Preparation Time: 5 minutes
Cooking Time: 3 minute each
Serves: 2-3

Ingredients:
1 cup Leftover Dal
1 Cup Semolina
½ Cup Curd
1 tsp Salt
½ tsp Baking Soda
Coconut chutney
Gunpowder to serve

Method:
Blend together all the ingredients. Rest for 5 minutes. Heat a dosa tawa. Spread ladleful batter on medium hot tawa. As the dosa begins to crisp, add a tsp oil over it. Allow to crisp well and remove. Serve with Coconut chutney and Gunpowder.

Leftover Dal Misi Paratha
Preparation Time: 5 minutes
Cooking Time: 3 minute each
Serves: 2-3

Ingredients:
1 Cup Leftover Dal
2 Cup Whole Wheat Flour
¼ Cup Chopped Onion
1 tsp chopped green chilies
¼ Cup Dry Fenugreek Leaves
½ tsp Carom Seeds
½ Teaspoon Red Chili Powder
Salt to taste
¼ Cup Ghee (clarified butter)
Butter, yoghurt, pickle to serve

Method:
Mix together all the ingredients for the paratha. Knead to a smooth dough with out adding any water but more flour if required.
Break the dough into equal sized balls. Roll out parathas and cook on a medium hot tawa till crisp. Add ghee and crisp further. Serve hot with Butter, yoghurt, pickle.

Dal Tikki
Preparation Time: 5 minutes
Cooking Time: 3 minute each
Serves: 2-3

Ingredients:
1 cup leftover dal
4 large bread slices
½ cup chopped onions
1 tsp green chilies
2 tbsp coriander leaves
½ cup grated carrot
½ cup green peas
Salt to taste
Pepper powder to taste
Sweet tamarind chutney
Green chutney
Pav as required
Butter as required

Method:
Grind the bread slices in a grinder to make fresh bread crumbs. Mix together all the ingredients for the tikki. Add more bread crumbs if required to make a dough.
Break into lemon sized balls and flatten the balls. Add 2 tbsp oil on a pan and cook the tikkis on medium hot oil till crisp on both the sides.
Cut the pav into halves.
Brush with butter and toast lightly.
Apply tamarind chutney on the base of the pav. Place the tikki, top with green chutney and then the pav and serve.
