Sumac Salad | Anti-Inflammatory salad recipe using Mediterranean spice

It is a perfect balance of sweet and sour, with different textures of fresh vegetables.

Seasoned with an ancient Mediterranean medicinal herb called sumac, it adds numerous anti-inflammatory benefits to your salads.

This sumac salad is an advanced version of a classic Persian Shirazi salad that my mother-in-law shared with me.

Although sumac may seem a common ingredient in Shirazi salad, only some families would include it on top of the lemon juice.

In my family, sumac has been a staple since I was on anti-inflammatory diet.
