$5 DINNERS: QUICK AND AFFORDABLE MEALS: BUDGET FRIENDLY: 5 INGREDIENTS OR LESS

Welcome to episode 2 of $5 Dinners! Today I have ALL NEW meals that are all $5 or less. Below are the prices of all ingredients (Walmart) and steps to make! Enjoy 🙂

SPAGHETTI
2 24 oz cans of spaghetti sauce .82×2
1 pound ground turkey 2.58
1 pound cooked spaghetti noodles .78
TOTAL: $5.00
-boil the noodles and drain. Cook your meat on the skillet, add spaghetti sauce and let simmer. Add seasoning of your choice. Combine & top with parmesan

SAUSAGE STIR FRY
2 large russet potatoes, chopped .48×2
1 package of sausage, sliced 2.36
1 can cut, drained green beans .82
2 squash sliced .89×2
TOTAL: $5.92
– chop your potatoes and lay on the bottom of your dish, add on top the sliced sausage, squash and drained green beans. Add seasonings of your choice and cover with foil. Cook on 450 degrees for 45-60 minutes or until potatoes are fully cooked.

BLT’S & CHIPS
1 loaf of bread .88
1 package of turkey bacon 2.28
1 tomato .68
1 small salad bag .92
potato chips 1.08
TOTAL: $5.84
-lay the bacon on a pan and set the oven to broil. Broil for 5-7 minutes or until bacon is cooked. Toast your bread, add condiments of your choice, tomato, lettuce and bacon and add chips on the side!

AVOCADO BOWL
2 cups of rice .78
1 can of drained corn .44
1 can of drained black beans .58
3 avocados .58×3
2 sweet potatoes, peeled and chopped .94×2
TOTAL: $5.42
– Boil the rice and drain. Add corn and beans to the rice mixture and set to the side. Peel and chop potatoes and throw in a dish with olive oil and seasonings of your choice. Place in the oven at 450 degrees and 30 minutes. Stir and put back in the oven again until the potatoes are cooked all the way through. Add rice mixture, potatoes and avocado into a bowl to enjoy.

GOULASH:
half an onion chopped .70
1 pound ground turkey 2.58
1 can diced tomatoes .64
1 pound elbow noodles .78
frozen green beans for a side .84
TOTAL: $5.54
– boil noodles and drain. Brown meat and onion on the skillet and add in diced tomatoes. Throw in cooked noodles, stir, and top with cheese!
