To Make Curd Rice
Rice – 1/2 Cup
Water – 2 Cups
Curd – 400 Gms

To Make Tempering

Mustard Seeds – 1/2 Tsp (Buy:
Cumin Seeds – 1/2 Tsp (Buy:

Chopped Green Chilli – 2 Nos

Asafoetida Powder – 1/4 Tsp (Buy:

To Make Spicy Potato Fry
Chopped Potato – 4 Nos
Oil – 2 Tbsp (Buy:
Urad Dal – 1/2 Tsp (Buy:
Mustard Seeds – 1/2 Tsp (Buy:
Cumin Seeds – 1/2 Tsp (Buy:
Asafoetida Powder – 1/4 Tsp (Buy:
Salt – 1 Tsp (Buy:
Turmeric Powder – 1/2 Tsp (Buy:
Chilli Powder – 2 1/2 Tsp (Buy:
Cumin Powder – 1 Tsp (Buy:
Coriander Powder – 1 Tsp (Buy:

Curry Leaves

To make the curd rice
1. Add washed rice to a pressure cooker and add water.
2. Pressure cook for 4-5 whistles on medium flame.
3. Open the cooker and mash the rice little bit and transfer it to a bowl.
4. Once the rice cools down, add the curd and salt.
5. Now add the milk and mix well. Let this sit for 10 mins.
6. To a pan, add oil, urad dal, mustard, cumin.
7. Once the mustard starts splattering, add ginger, green chillies,
8. Now add some curry leaves and asafoetida powder.
9. Add the tempered ingredients to the curd rice and mix well.
10. Refridgerate for few mins brefore serving.

To make the potato fry.
1. Peel the potatoes and chop them into small pieces.
2. To a wide pan, add oil urad dal, mustard, cumin.
3. Once the mustard splatters, add curry leaves and asafeotida powder.
4. Now add the potatoes and let it cook.
5. Once they are half cooked add, salt, turmeric powder, chilli powder, cumin powder, coriander powder and mix everything.
6. Cook the pototoes on medium flame.
7. Finally add the pound garlic with skin, curry leaves. and saute for few mins.
8. Potato fry is done.
