Today I’m making your cocktail recipes in celebration of our 100th video! A couple weeks ago we sent out a request for original cocktail recipes, and boy did you deliver! We received over 700 entries! I planned to showcase three winners, but because so many sounded good, I’m doing eight – along with eight honorable mentions! Some of you asked me how to get an original recipe out into the world, and I think sharing them is a start. So give these a try, make them for others, and help get these out there! 2 oz. (60 ml) Grey Goose Vodka (I used Union Horse Rider Vodka)
3/4 oz. (22.5 ml) Lillet Blanc
1/3 oz. (10 ml) semi-rich champagne syrup (1.5:1 sugar:champagne)
1/2 strawberry
Absinthe rinse
Orange twist garnish

3. THE BEAR by Tyler Gauntt 7:18
1.5 oz. (45 ml) Beefeater Gin
3/4 oz. (22.5 ml) Galliano
1/2 oz. (15 ml) Campari
1/2 oz. (15 ml) orange juice
1/2 oz. (15 ml) lemon juice
OPTIONAL: Absinthe mist over cocktail
Lemon or orange peel garnish

4. AN OFFICER AND A GENTIAN by Trevor Rose 9:07
1.5 oz. (45 ml) Pussers Navy Proof Rum (I used Smith & Cross)
1/2 oz. (15 ml) Giffard Ginger Liqueur (I used Domaine de Canton)
1/2 oz. (15 ml) Suze
1.5 oz. (45 ml) Mango Rubicon Still (I used Goya Mango Nectar)
1/2 oz. (15 ml) honey syrup (2:1 honey:water)
3/4 oz. (22.5 ml) lime juice
2 dashes Walnut Bitters (Fee Bros.)
Dehydrated lemon/lime wheel and mint garnish

5. ROASTED APPLE by Thomas Dalevoll 11:11
1 oz. (30 ml) Calvados (Roger Groult Réserve 3 Year)
1 oz. (30 ml) lightly aged Rum (The Real McCoy 3 Year)
3/4 oz. (30 ml) PX Sherry (Lustau)
1/2 oz. (15 ml) caramel syrup*
2 dashes Angostura Bitters
Torched cinnamon stick to smoke glassware
Apple slice garnish
*Thomas’ Caramel Syrup
Heat sugar over medium low heat until caramelized. Slowly add equal part water by weight. Stir to dissolve.

6. THE BOUNTY by Silas Hall 14:10
1.5 oz. (45 ml) Rye Whiskey (Rittenhouse)
1 oz. (30 ml) Apricot Liqueur (Giffard)
3/4 oz. (22.5 ml) Allspice Dram (St. Elizabeth)
3/4 oz. (22.5 ml) lemon juice
1/2 oz. (15 ml) maple syrup
2 dashes orange bitters
Orange peel garnish

7. THE NORTH COVE by Joshua Thompson 16:27
3/4 oz. (22.5 ml) Amaretto (Luxardo)
1/2 oz. (15 ml) Grand Marnier Orange Liqueur
1/2 oz. (15 ml) Campari
3/4 oz. (22.5 ml) lime juice
1 dash Angostura Bitters

1/2 oz. (15 ml) Aria Gin (I used Death’s Door)
3/4 oz. (22.5 ml) Sake
1/4 oz. (7.5 ml) Yellow Chartreuse
1 dash turmeric bitters (I used Fee Bros. Cardamom Bitters)
Stir with 1 lemon peel
Lemon peel garnish

– k8thegr8pt’s Milk Wash Drambuie –
Combine 4 oz lemon juice, 4 oz orange juice, & 8 oz Drambuie. Add mixture to 12 oz cold heavy cream. Cover/store in fridge for 24 hrs. Strain through cheese cloth or coffee filter. Repeat with clean filter. Store covered in fridge.
